Jeanie Marie Buss (born Jeanie Marie Buss) is a famous American woman of business. She is the owner of control of the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association and currently is the president of the organization. Buss is a native of California has an extremely wealthy family background. Jerry Buss was her father. Jerry Buss started out as a realty business tycoon after which he later became the owner of the Lakers. After her parents divorced in 1972, she began to feel in a sense of being abandoned emotionally. Her family's business was started when she was 19 and became the general manager of the Los Angeles Strings tennis team. The team was later renamed an organization called the Los Angeles Blades, a professional roller-hockey team. She was the President of Great Western Forum prior to becoming vice-president for the Lakers. Buss took over her share of the Lakers through her father's estate in the year 2013. Her five siblings were the inheritors through a family estate trust. she assumed the duties as head of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss has also been a owner of a portion of Women of Wrestling (a Los Angeles-based pro-wrestling association).
